General
Do I need to schedule an appointment?
Yes, please call and our receptionist would be happy to set up an appointment up for you.
Do you have drop-off appointments?
If it is best for your schedule to drop off your pet for examination and/or vaccinations and pick them up later in the day, we are happy to accommodate. There is no additional fee unless the pet is boarded overnight. We still recommend calling and scheduling an appointment time.
I see worms in my pet's feces. What do I do?
Bring a stool sample by the office and let us perform a test to see what worms are present. We can then prescribe the appropriate deworming treatment.
Does the Furminator actually work?
Yes, we carry and recommend this product. We also have one you can try out while you are here for your pet's appointment.
I want to order my medications on-line. Is that okay?
We feel it is important that your veterinary healthcare team is a part of the decision-making process when choosing medications; our knowledge can help you make the best choices for you and your pets' needs. Based on FDA warnings, we discourage on-line ordering from other pharmacies; see what the FDA has to say at www.fda.gov/consumer/updates/petdrugsonline121407.html. However, we do approve prescriptions that are medically indicated when owners request they be filled on-line. We do match PetMeds on all flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. Medications can be ordered through South Memorial Animal Hospital's website; go to the links page and click on the pharmaceutical symbol.
Do you offer payment plans?
We are not a lending agency and therefore do not do personally extend payment plans. We do work with CareCredit®, a group that works with veterinary hospitals, dentists, optometrists, and other healthcare professions to provide payment alternatives. CareCredit® can be accessed through our links page. Go on-line to apply; credit can be used immediately upon approval, not just at our veterinary hospital but in many other healthcare offices around town. |
